GOOD MORNING FRIENDS!

Gotta get those
LOVE OCTOBER
pics in whilst we still can.

*

*

*

First off
APOLOGIES
to those we left out of the
"FAVORITE MONTH of the YEAR"
poll.
Myyyyyyyyyy Goodness
we are
SO  SORRY.
Apparently we did not click on the button
"View more comments"
or whatever it is,
so we had started with Bill Barnetson.
We should have known better
as we HAD in fact read the previous comments.
IF
we have this right
we had left out:

KAY HEANEY

LYNNE  FAECKE

MARY  FULLER

MEREDITH CHILSON

MICHELLE LIBERTONE

LISA  JESKE

MARCINE  DELO

If you recall the votes on FB were the ones we saw before 7:00am on the morning of 10/28,
hence a certain someone's vote was not in by then, but if it had been, there would have been
yet another vote for OCTOBER.
Although we won't mention his name lest we embarrass him,
he recently had a birthday,
his family was VERY prominent in Belmont for decades
and
his family owned and operated the local hardware store.
Just sayin'
:-)

The votes for favorite month of the year
then turned out as follows:
[ IF we read / computed them correctly ]

April  1
August  1
June  1
September  2
July  4
May  6
October  6

You folks are something else
and
we love you all!

NOW
let's hope we don't leave anyone out of the latest
Facebook
posting of the
KASIYH
blog.
THANKS
go out to the following people:

LYNNE  FAECKE

DONNA  HOLMES

STEVE HARRIS

JUDY  SERVEY

MARCINE  DELO

MEREDITH  CHILSON

JANET  NORRIS

LYNN  MANNING

You are all
MARVELOUS!

PLEASE NOTE:
MJ is on vacation from work after today through November 8th.  This is to work on T.B.P. so keep us [especially him] in your prayers please.  Such a big project and to be honest we simply haven't the funds to hire a contractor.  Yes, T.B.P. began August 4th,,,but since that time we have had other issues to deal with, like plenty of O.T. at work, sooooooo ... away we go...AGAIN.

That being stated God only knows when we will be posting after today.  It might be daily, it might be every other day, it might be not at all [ doubt it will be that severe].   Would love to at least get the walls back up and perhaps more [?] .

Whilst on this topic of the bathroom project, etc.  We may try to post pics but keep in mind those types of pics come from MJ's digital camera directly to my computer.  We know you miss the Flashback Friday's HOWEVER we still can't seem to get the scanner [and now the printer] to cooperate with us.  GGC has been WARNED that this vaca is for MJ to work on TBP and not to be sidetracked with other issues. So getting back to having everything as it used to be and those wonderful "Flashback" days could take a while.

*

*

*

A
HUGE
THANK YOU
and
SHOUT  OUT
to
MARCINE ELIZABETH HOVEY DELO
for something
 EXTRAORDINARY
she did for
MJ and GK
recently.
We cannot recall
the last time
[if indeed there was one]
that someone did something like this
to commemorate something very dear to us.
THANKS
RED.
You
ARE
the BEST!

APPARENTLY THIS WEEKEND
WE

or at least most of us do.

Didn't this start due to agriculture?
[ Daylight Saving's Time ]
Since we are no longer so agriculturally concentrated
as a nation,
WHY
are
we
still
doing
this?

Perhaps we should be a little
Beatle - ish
and
" LET IT BE "
?

YOUR THOUGHTS?

On
Sunday

KASIYH
BLOG

will have been in existence for
SIX  YEARS.

Lord willin'
we will write more about this on Sunday or  Monday
BUT
to
CELEBRATE
that milestone
GGC
is accepting
ANY and ALL
QUESTIONS
you might like to pose
and
promises to answer them all.
[ We can only think of a couple of questions that might make us regret said decision
but knowing y'all we'll worry about crossing that bridge when/if we come to it.]

You may pose a general question to
GGC
OR
you can address one of us individually.

If it's a general question, just ask it.
However, if it's directed to a certain  one  of us only,
then please specify to which one of us
you are directing your question.

All questions will be answered on
KASIYH
blog
and not on Facebook
where said question might be asked.

Don't forget
you can also ask your question on
KASIYH
blog
by going to the
COMMENTS
section
which we check daily.

Questions may be about the
KASIYH
blog
OR
of any nature you choose.

It's up to you.

We're not expecting a huge number of questions,
but we will attempt to answer them as
truthfully and forthrightly as possible.

With that we are
THANKING YOU FOR YOUR TIME
THIS TILL NEXT TIME

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS!

Although we have never been a great advocate of
"Hump Day"
as a designation for Wednesday
we thought the above pic kind of cute.

Such
SAD  NEWS
in
Allegany County
with the reporting of the death of
Dr. [Frank] Clifton Miller
in
what appears to be a
fiery car crash
as he was on his way to
Jones Memorial Hospital
Monday evening.

Doc Miller
apparently had delivered over
8,400 babies
in his career,
arriving here in
Allegany County
shortly after the
flood of '72.

Our thoughts and prayers go out
to

Allegany County
has lost a wonderful, caring, Christian man.

Apparently
there's another
REPUBLICAN  DEBATE
this evening.
You can bet your bippy we will attempt to watch it.
Remember we have no broadcast TV
[by choice...just Netflix, Amazon Prime & Hulu Plus ]
so we have to try to find live streaming on the computer.
If that doesn't work, we will watch it on
You Tube
tomorrow morning,
hopefully.

Since
DR.  BEN  CARSON
has now
trumped
TRUMP
in the most recent polls,
expect
The Trumpster
to be on the attack.

Although we are no great fan of Dr. Carson
[ he puts us to  sleep  quicker than pills or booze ]
we shudder to think of how
The Trumpster
might attack him in front of a live audience
and
millions of viewers.

Should be entertaining!

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS

OCTOBER  2015
is swiftly passing on,
soon to live on
Memory Lane,
hence our heart hurts
more than just a little.

This happens every
OCTOBER.
Seems like we'd be used to it by now.

Some folks yearn for Christmas,
some for Spring after a long, cold winter.
Some people can hardly wait for ski season,
or to hit the links on a golf course each year.
Many long for the good ol' summertime
and all the fun it can hold.

Not us.

We have a deep magnetic pull,
an addiction of sorts,
to
OCTOBER.

It's certainly not
the "celebration" of Halloween
with all its garishness
grabbing us as early as the month July.

No,
it is so much deeper than that insipidness.

For us the heart beats faster and faster
as we  finally  reach August.

And then
September
of course is the
prelude music
and at its end,
the processional
to thee month of months,
OCTOBER.

That being stated
November
is of course the
postlude music
from
that glorious month of
OCTOBER.

Someday,
when our time on this planet is over,
to us the
Pearly Gates
will be surrounded by the
warmth and loveliness of all that is autumn.

We will be reminded
once again
of that which captured our heart
from a different and far away lifetime;
of
God's gift to us,
the month of
OCTOBER.

Oh How I Hate To See October Go
by:  Barry Manilow

*

*

*

And speaking of the month of
OCTOBER
HAPPIEST of BIRTHDAY'S
to
the one and the only
DANA  LEE  ROSS
of Belmont, NY
formally of
Angelica, NY.

We are blessed to say that
Dana Lee
has been a friend of ours for many a decade.

Husband
of the
always astounding
SUE [ Lucy Arnez ] ROSS
and the father of
two wonderful sons,
Anthony [ Tony ] Ross
and
Kristopher [ Kris ] Ross.

Dana is also now a Father-In-Law
to the ever lovely Johanna Ross
and soon to be
GRANDFATHER
to a precious little one.

Dana Lee
is
[ thankfully ]
our
Amity Town Supervisor,
and as such he shoots straight from the hip.
Would that we had more people like Dana.

So once again
Dana Lee
HAPPIEST of BIRTHDAY'S
to you bro,
and
even though you don't like us to say it,
for you say it isn't true ~ but in GGC world it is:
[ sung to the tune of the ol' Sarah Lee commercial ]
*
*
*
" Nobody doesn't like Dana Lee! "

KUDO'S
to those of you who did so
AND
to those who contacted me privately also.

What an eye opener.

THANK YOU KINDLY.

*

Since we had such a
horrific topic
as our
QUESTION of the DAY
yesterday
let's go to the opposite extreme today.
IF
you
HAD
to pick a
FAVORITE MONTH of the YEAR
[ Think of a red hot poker at your face if you must, I know how some of you can be.
This is a scenario in which you must pick a favorite month of the year.  MUST.  Period. ]
WHAT
MONTH
WOULD
IT
BE?

And NO it's not a
"time of year"
it's a
MONTH
you must pick.

Remember
there's a
RED HOT POKER
at your pretty little face.

FAVORITE MONTH
?  ?  ?

The BCS Class of '72
they will always be close in
mind, heart and prayers.
Our walks down Memory Lane
would never be complete without them.

THIS and THAT

*  Not wanting to distract from our mini tribute to Marcine Delo Friday last, we purposely did not mention the fact that we finally saw a weight below 200 at six o'clock that morning.  Yep, it was 199.  We knew it would bounce back up [ we know ourselves and esp. our w8 in that regard ], which it did but now we KNOW we can do it and it IS feasible.  The last time were below 200 pounds was March 12, 2013,,,two and a half years ago.  Sweet Lord 'ave mercy.

*  Saturday we were in Olean with Connie and Sarah [that child whom we adore was with his Dad].
We ate lunch at Applebee's, then saw the movie "Bridge of Spies" at Carmike Cinema followed by dessert at Friendly's.  Whilst at the cinema, this gorgeous gal tapped me on the shoulder, I looked up and low and behold there was April Palmiter !  Our mind knew who she was but we think of the Palmiter's as living in sunny California, so we tried to think "Who looks like April Palmiter?"  FINALLY realizing NO ONE but her.  What a lovely surprise it was.  "Mr. Do-Over" was with her of course and the two of them look blissfully happy together.  Still one classy couple to this very day.

*  Church at St. John's was lovely yesterday morn.  We have a fellow who insist's on screaming [it's not simply singing loudly] the hymns which is most disturbing to put it mildly.  Of course said individual sits in the front pew, which doesn't help.  But yesterday he was absent [ probably an Allegany County Grange function, of which he is a member].  His absence was music to many an ear.  It was so very nice to hear the choir [and some congregation] singing in parts.  This is not possible when T.S. is present.  [ T.S. = The Screamer.]

*  Bob Manning still in hospital in Buffalo. [ Bob is married to Lynn Winterhalter Manning ].  He had a stroke Saturday, October 3rd.  Please keep him, Lynn and the family in your prayers.  Bob is facing a l--o--n--g road to recovery, but his will is strong to do so and return home.   We have his address if you would like to send a card.  Just let me know.

*

*

*

*  Some of you now that we are an avid reader and one of the categories we read is the lives of serial killers.  Fascinating.  This ties in with our incomprehension of things like the Holocaust.  [Which we know is real, but our mind can't grasp such cruelty.]  At any rate, having read more books on serial killers and/or the minds thereof, we have a question.  We WARN YOU this is not a delicate question by any means.  It involves rape.  Many serial killers sexually assault their victims then murder them. And even if their attacker's don't murder post the sexual assault, we are wondering the following:

IF
God forbid
we were to find ourselves in a
rape  situation
where we have fought like crazy to no avail,
might it be better
to
[at some point]
cease fighting
and
get through it
[ hoping for at least life survival ]
OR
fight it all the way?

*   We know this is a horrid scenario to imagine but having read so many books on the subject, we can't help but wonder if  perhaps  things  might not  have reached the point of murder had the person being molested had chose another action.  Add to that the fact that [it appears] so many of these rapists [ read = creeps, psycho's, etc. ] seem to "get off" on the fear and fighting back of their victims. If you don't want to answer this question, that's fine.  If you don't want to answer it on Facebook you can reply on here or send me a P.M. on Facebook or an Email.

*  Keep in mind that hopefully we have ALL reached the point that "No MEANS No" at any point in any relationship.  That is common now-a-days, or should be by now.  Civility reigns.  That being stated, we are referring to those who set out to attack others.  And keep in mind that men can and do get raped also.  [ One of the least reported sexual assault crimes.]

*  Our mind does not wrap around the Holocaust, serial killers or the hurting of children in any way. We keep trying to comprehend such horrid atrocities, hence our reading material, the viewing of documentaries and near obsession with TV shows such as "Criminal Minds", etc.  How CAN people actually plan to hurt other human beings?   Crimes of passion, where someone "loses it" and kills someone they "love", this our mind can comprehend somewhat.  But to set out to purposely hurt or kill someone is just beyond us.  Is it because we live in a small town, Belmont, NY ?  Are we sheltered to such a degree that we live in ... " And I think to myself, What A Wonderful World" ?   Why can't our mind wrap around evil events ?

SORRY,
we got carried way.
Try to stick to the original question about
RAPE
listed above.
[ But side comments always welcome too.]
[ If you find us naive or stupid, just say so.]
