Written by:
CRAIG

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Let's return to that freaking meeting that occurred on
FRIDAY, MAY 6th
and was last mentioned in KASIYH blog on May 7th,
shall
we
?
[ Since G and G are otherwise occupied at the moment.]

And kindly
keep in mind that we DID settle on a date:
AUGUST 19 and 20, 2016
thank
GOD
but it was NOT an easy journey to get there.

Rarely
and
CRAIG
does mean
RARELY
have we been through such a demeaning meeting.

I call it
humiliating
[whilst prissy pants Gregory called it "humbling" ]
After about the tenth time that we were told
" I do not know you.  I do not anything about you.
We can't let just  anyone  use the auditorium!"
by this late twenties or early thirties year old youngster
I was
PLEADING
with
G and G
to let
me
at
him
!   !   !

Even after G and G
explained our background
INCLUDING
the fact that we are
ON THE
David A. Howe Public Library
WEBSITE
with virtually this same group,
he
still paid little attention.

We have been
DIRECTING and PRODUCING
since
BEFORE
this lad was a scratch in his daddy's pants.

Ol' Craig here thought he had his chance when G and G
stood up to shake this young man's hand
and to exit forthwith
as nothing was being accomplished,
but
ooooooooh no
THAT'S WHEN
the
"holder of the keys to the kingdom"
[ finally showed a wee bit of wisdom ]
and
asked us to sit back down and talk some more.

I am supposed to be impressed by the facts that said youngster
has performed and directed himself,
coming here from Houghton College Library,
etc.

I. Am. Not.
[ Won't speak for G and G though.]

GRACIOUSNESS
KINDNESS
MANNERS
COOPERATION
are just some of the qualities that someone in said position
should demonstrate at all times.

I, CRAIG believe that there is
"something else there"
that prompted this young man
to thwart our attempt to use the auditorium
at the
David A. Howe Public Library.
G and G don't necessarily agree with that premise.
[ They say I'm paranoid ]

Maybe.
Maybe not.

T'is odd though that this person welcomes
all kinds of theater groups
including but not limited to;

The Valley Players
[ Did they use to be the Short Track Players ?]

The Angelica Players
[ Who wonderfully have their own theater ]

just to mention a couple that he brought to our attention.

Because they have
NAME  RECOGNITION
and
GGC
is just someone that

Nic Gunning
Assistant Director, Public Services
David A. Howe Public Library
155 North Main Street
Wellsville, NY  14813

has never heard of before.
An unknown quantity,
unproven reputation.

After all these years,
perhaps
just
a
speck
of
dust

May or may not be

HELLO FRIENDS!

Not sure if/when this will get posted
but
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
at least it's an attempt.

As most of you know by now
it appears our FB account was hacked last week.

We have changed password,
ran malware, etc.
and
things should be better soon if they haven't already.

BUT
This event prompted us to go to our friends/acquaintances list
and change a few things.
We now have FAR more acquaintances than before,
whilst most friends remained as such,
except for one or so who are no longer on either list.
REEEEEEE-FRESHING
!       !       !

As mentioned before, it's been a busy week.
Looks like it may be that way for a while.
Spring fever perhaps.
Haven't had this much inspiration in quite some time.
What a
BLESSING
these last few days have been.

As we write this part of the post
[ last week ]
MJ is in Wellsville
at
St. John's
priming the post out front
[ from which hangs the Episcopal Church sign ]
which he hopes to paint soon as it is in much need of the same.
More jewels in his crown.

Our friend Polly Helms from St. John's
wanted us to write about our music background.
Good Heavens
WHERE to begin?

First, as most of y'all know
GGC does not have a degree of any kind.
Not smart enough for that.
But as far as music goes,
we cannot remember a time in our life where it wasn't present.
EVER!

Those who have read this blog from it's inception
know that GGC was born on a Tuesday morning
and
was in church the very next Sunday.
The Belmont Baptist Church
was filled to the gills
with
MUSIC.
Sunday school rooms to Sanctuary.
And Sunday evening services were particularly interesting
as young people
and not-so-young people
sang solos, or sang in duets, trios, quartets, etc.
Anyone playing a musical instrument of any kind
was encouraged to share their musical blessing from the Lord
with the congregation.

At home we had tons of music also,
most of our records were of Christian music.
[ With some, guess what?  Piano and organ records also.]
Music - MUSIC - MUSIC
EVERYwhere.
TV was just coming into vogue
and
was limited in our house even when we did have one.

Now that GGC thinks of it,
times were rare that we didn't have some kind of keyboard
in our house.
Piano in the early years,
and a small tabletop chord organ later on.
[ This was at 94 Greenwhich Street ]

LESSONS:
GGC took a small amount of piano lessons from
Mrs. Marjorie Rose
Middaugh St. in Belmont at the time if memory serves
After 4-6 months we got bored.
We didn't want to practice what we were supposed to,
instead we wanted to make our OWN kind of music.
[ Shades of a later life ? ]
We moved to
35 Schuyler Street
[normal villages would call this Main Street ]
in
Belmont
when GGC was twelve years seasoned.
[Dad bought the property, later sold it and we moved ever-so-briefly to Chandler, Arizona.
Then moved we back to Belmont and Dad managed to buy the same house once again.]
Around this time
[ twelve years seasoned ]
we took up the
"family instrument"
The Saxophone.
[Our sister Marlene played sax as did our brother Doug ]
LOVED IT!

Not too long after this time,
perhaps a year or two,
we started piano lessons once again,
this time with
Mr. Don Strach
[ Instrumental Music Teacher at BCS ]
[ Don and Melinda lived on South Street - Melinda was Vocal Music Teacher at BCS.]
The same type of thing transpired with Mr. Strach
as had happened with Mrs. Rose:
GGC really wanted to do his own thing
not follow instructions to the letter.

Within a short while Mr. Strach opened his own music store/studio
in Wellsville, NY
GGC reluctantly continued lessons there.
[ We'd been with Mr. Strach about three months by this time ]

One day when Mr. Strach was running a bit behind schedule,
he suggested that GGC sit down at one of the
GULBRANSON
organs that he had for sale
just to see what GGC thought about that instrument.

o
m
GOODNESS

GGC was in Heaven.

We were no prodigy
not by any means
but we felt
at
HOME.

Mr. Strach sent me out to get my Dad
[ he was waiting in the car ]
Dad came into the studio,
Mr. Strach told me to sit down at the same organ
and play just as we had minutes ago.
GGC did as told.

Dad's face was pure shock.
Mr. Strach sold that organ to Ross Shelley that day.
It was delivered to 35 Schuyler Street in Belmont
soon thereafter.

We stayed with Mr. Strach
for a couple of months, then stopped.
[ Went through like 5-6 years of organ books in that period]
and
that was that for professional music instruction.

We continued through high school with the saxophone
and
many times actually moved the "Shelley organ" over to BCS
for various event in the aud/gym.
[The BCS Class of 1972 bought an organ and leslie speaker for BCS later on.]

When MJ and GGC became friends
[ recall we weren't so for many years ]
he would stop over and some evenings
we spent trying create various harmonies
on different tunes, most of which we simple hymns.
It was intriguing to us both, we'd spend literally hours
working on different variations on the same tune.
Dang that was fun.

We graduated from BCS in 1972.
[Easy to recall the year = Hurricane Agnes hit a few days before our graduation day!]

In 1973
GGC was in the process of joining
St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church - Belmont, NY
and
Marguerite Donnelly was the organist there.
She was looking to step away from being organist
but
GGC was not looking to fill the role.
ASH  WEDNESDAY 1973
Marguerite was not in the choir loft.

Father Joe Hassler
informed
GGC
that
ASH WEDNESDAY
with no music was NOT going to happen under his watch.
He told us to
"go to the choir loft right now
and
just do the best you can!

GGC did as told.
[You see it CAN happen! ]
Soon thereafter GGC became St. Mary's organist.
[[Sidenote:  When GGC joined the R.C. Church June 9th, 1973
there was no one to play the organ since GGC was the organist.
GGC asked Carolyn Feldbauer to do the honor
and she graciously said she would do so.
She was, as always, marvelous indeed.
Carolyn and GGC may have had their difference later on,
but she was always TOPS as far as GGC was concerned when it came to music.  Period.]]

Over the decades GGC has been music director at:
ST. MARY'S - BELMONT, NY
Covering also
St. Joseph's in Scio, NY
and
Sacred Heart Church in Angelica, NY
at various times.

Also
CHURCH of CHRIST
Scio, NY

BELMONT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Belmont, NY

ST. PHILIP'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
Belmont, NY

ST. PAUL'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
Angelica, NY

Weddings and Funerals
at
most of the above
as well as:

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
Wellsville, NY

TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH
Wellsville, NY

CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
Wellsville, NY

As well as our
"TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL"
[As we nicknamed it ]
when
THE
TRI-PARISH CHOIR
[from the first three churches listed way above]
sang for
Sister Rosemary Benson's
Golden Anniversary
as a
Franciscan Nun
at
Our Lady of Victory Basilica
in
Lackawanna, New York.

Oh
the
memories
of that excursion!

GGC
has been attempting to finish this post for a
WEEK
so we're simply going to end it ... for now.

If you want to have a detailed account of MJ's music background,
ask him please.

GOOD  MORNING  FRIENDS!
In the interest of full disclosure, we're writing at least part of this Sunday evening
with our friend Jim Beam FIRE beside us.  Thanks Jim !

and
THANKS
for your responses to Saturday's
KASIYH
blog post.
It was interesting not only to see what your plans were for M.D. weekend,
but to see what an extraordinary progeny some of you have created.
! WoW !

*

We had a
GRAND  TIME
serving breakfast to the ladies at
ST. JOHN'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
yesterday morning.
It was the guy's turn to wait on the gals
and
they loved it.
The guys being "the guys",
we are already working on plans
to continue to honor our gals in the not-too-distant future.

*

*

*

Looks like we may have to
"snake"
the pipe that handles our kitchen sink.
Recall that our kitchen has served as our bathroom for over nine months now.

The first time I ever assisted in the "snake" process
was with my Dad.
He asked if I wanted to be the "snake runner"
or the wiper-offer, drip-catcher guy,
[ My words, not Dad's ]
We [ UNwisely ] chose the later of the two choices.

We were working the main septic tank pipe.

GGC thought he was a gonna puke!

Dear Dad LOL so hard we thought he was going to wet himself.
" It was your choice son" he said.

GEEEEEEEEEEEESH !!!

At any rate
the kitchen has done triple duty the last 9+ months,
so guess this is to be expected.
Still trying the
DRANO
route, but not working overtly well.
It IS actually,
this is just a speed bump!

*

*

*

GGC is thinking of starting at least one
[ if not more ]
other
BLOG[s].

Just thinking about it.

One would be an invitation only Blog.
[ We are acquainted with a wise person who has done this - which sparked the idea for us]
Current thoughts are that the "invitation only" Blog
would be much more "loose lipped" than our KASIYH Blog.
For regular readers of this Blog,
think of it as more
Craig written
rather than Gregory or Greg
written.
Hmmmmmmm ?

Also
we are contemplating a
money maker
Blog.
That would involve a lot of work
as one needs to collect numerous followers
in order to attract advertisers.
According to the course we are now studying on the same,
we need to find the one niche,
the one thing we are good at or at most interested in,
and zero in on our "audience".
What the hell would that be?

Oh
hell's bells
maybe none of these will come to fruition,
who knows?

Of course our wonder-filled brother
MARK JOSEPH The Yog FELDBAUER
dearly wants us to
VLOG
[ A video blog ]
which we are still considering but basically fine abhorrent
[Most of you have never seen GGC in the early morning or late at night.
Yog has seen BOTH in his lifetime and STILL is promoting it = silly boy! ]

At any rate, time will be the teller of this tale.

This are what we are considering.

WHAT THINKEST THOU?

IF
you think any of these are good idea's
WHY?

And if you think a money make Blog
a decent idea,
what does GGC know most about
or is most interested in?
[ CAREFUL people !!! ]

GOOD  MORNING  FRIENDS!
and
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY EVE [day]

Also
we so enjoyed your funny comments regarding yesterday's
KASIYH
blog post
on
humorous Mother moments.

GREAT RESPONSES
GGC enjoyed reading each and every one of them.
THANK YOU
!   !   !

Regarding the 4:00pm appointment with
Nic Gunning
yesterday
at the
David A. Howe Public Library:

We worked out some production dates for August.

This will take some finagling on GGC's part
with the folks at
Playscripts, Inc.
located in
New York, NY
but we think we can do it.

The actual meeting itself was challenging.

Let's leave it at that.

THANKS
for
YOUR
PRAYERS
and
Good Vibes.

GGC could feel them
all along the way.

*

*

*

So

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS
FOR THE WEEKEND ?

If you have a husband / wife / partner
are you being waited on hand and foot?

If you Mother is still living,
are you visiting her?

If your Mother has passed since last
Mother's Day
our heart goes out to you in special ways.

If your Mother has passed away,
even though it may be years ago,
this can be a very painful weekend.

If you always desired to be a Mother
but life never granted you that gift,
that's a special pain in and of itself.

So many emotions can be wrapped up in this weekend.
More than we could ever begin to state on this l'il blog.

Please know that there's a fat man
towards the end of Noble St, Belmont, NY
that IS thinking about you and praying for you, okay?
ALL.  OF.  YOU.

And here's something rather amazing to lift your spirits!

Piano Prodigy
TSUNG  TSUNG

GOOD  MORNING FRIENDS!

How's everyone today?
We're praying all is well with you.

Isn't the child above something else?
In the first video he is 4 to 5 years old.
! Wow !

HAPPY that Y'ALL
seemed to like yesterday's
THUMBS UP THURSDAY

We have a couple more to add:
And these DID happen yesterday, Thursday, so they can count even if it is Friday.

ST. JOHN'S CHOIR
It purely the workings of the Holy Spirit
that we get any music "work" done
at our rehearsals.
Honestly,
they keep GGC in stitches all evening.
We may be small in number
but we are
MIGHTY
in
LOVE
LAUGHTER
and
FELLOWSHIP.
Thank
You
JESUS
!  !  !

and
MARK JOSEPH FELDBAUER
[ Brother Yog ]
who has somehow discovered the magic
of reaching GGC no matter what.
Apparently we are his
S.L.O.F.
Good thing we love him so much!
Thanks
YOG

we have an appointment with
Nic Gunning
[ Assistant Director, Head of Public Services ~ David A. Howe Public Library ]
concerning the performance of the play we've been working on
" Making God Laugh "
by
Sean Grennan.

Up to this point
Mr. Gunning
has refused us permission to perform at the
David A. Library
in the
Nancy Howe Auditorium
his reason being that we are not an established group.
[ This declaration was made when/following Heidi Mangel's meeting with Mr. Gunning.]

at the
David A. Howe Public Library
Mr. Gunning will meet GGC.

This should be interesting.

PRAYERS APPRECIATED
especially that prayer that cannot fail:
" Thy will be done."

SINCE
is
this coming
SUNDAY, MAY 8th
here's your

NOTE:
Before we announce the challenge
we acknowledge that this might be too difficult or heart-breaking for some of you.
PLEASE
if that's the case, just do not participate in this challenge.
Many of us have had our Mother's go on before us
and
the pain is immeasurable.
Kindly do not use this platform to express that grief
[ or God forbid, anger if you had a bad relationship with your Mom.]
This is not the time nor place for those comments.
No sad commentaries of any kind, this is not the old show "Queen for a Day".
GGC will remove said comments promptly.
! THANK YOU !

 Now
HERE'S THE CHALLENGE:

Share with us a
FUNNY  STORY
concerning
YOUR MOM.

Something she did,
some reaction to you or someone else that made you laugh,
things she says or used to say that "cracked you up"
A
MOM STORY
that
STILL MAKES YOU LAUGH
when you recall it.

There ya have it.

If you want us to post later
concerning the 4:00pm meeting with
Mr. Gunning
just let us know.

Remember the prayers please!

Good day friends.  Quickie health update:  Things proceeding better than expected, meaning wound is healing much quicker than we'd thou...
