It's the
FINAL
day
of the
blessed month
of
NOVEMBER

GGC
by the fireplace this morning, mourning
[ Just kidding ]
the passing of
NOVEMBER
'nuff said
[ for now ]

*

*

*

We learned something yesterday that shocked us:
Later in the day Gregory wrote a post about
DoD
and his evil influence.

When it was posted,
just here,
no notification on FB
[ ever so briefly ]
we discovered that if one clicked on the link
we'd provided earlier in the day on FB
[ with only MJ tagged for that particular post ]
it takes one to the
LATEST POST
published on
KASIYH
Blog.

We immediately removed that Blog post.

We were in a very dark spot.

Simply wanted to write our feelings out
and if anyone saw it,
fine
[ but most don't under those circumstances BTW ]

We didn't want it
broadcast
on FB
by any means.

Lesson learned.

*

*

*

A.C.G.A.
?

It mystifies us that
most str8 people
[ or so it seems ]
know more
GAY
people
than we do.

Seriously.

We're hearing it everywhere?
" Do you know 'so and so' ?  Well he's / she's gay."

[BTW... we don't get a "members list" auto delivered to our mailbox.]

The last place we heard this type of statement was at the groomers.
" I can't begin to tell you how many of my clients are gay!"

MJ and GGC
have, admittedly,
remained rather absent from the Allegany County Gay scene,
[ for many reasons, one being self preservation ,,, earlier on ]
but
Good Heaven's
you'd think we'd be more informed of the Gay folks
in and around
Allegany County
than our str8 friends.

NOPE.

As we've mentioned previously on this Blog,
back in the mid-1970's
there was a
Gay bar in Olean, NY
called
" The Stadium "
[ if memory serves = that was the name ]

It was very dark and rather covert
so as not to attract attention.
[ Still had rocks thrown through windows, spray painting, etc. ]

But at least there was some place
for us to go and not feel like a
"pork chop at a Jewish wedding".

If such a place of safety

exists now locally,
we know not of it.

Our trip to Arizona last month
opened up a Gay vista
we had never experienced.

At least the areas we were in
and
the folks we were around,
sexual orientation
was never an issue.
EVER.

Recall the story of the gal with us on the elevator?
In just a short ride up 2 floors
[ and them chat in the area off the elevator ]
we discussed the fact that she and her partner
had recently been married
and
we told her we'd been together 40 years.
It was the most natural conversation in the world.
That's just one example out of many.
[ Not to mention Casey and Brandon's BEAUTIFUL wedding!]

We know that not all areas of our country are so open
to all live styles
and
our beloved Allegany County is rather conservative
[ to put it mildly ]
but it sure seems out of sync that many of the local
"Brotherhood and Sisterhood"
seem to not associate with one another to any degree.

Did you notice the title of this section
of today's Blog post?
A.C.G.A.
?

Perhaps we need some sort of
Allegany County Gay Alliance.

Oh calm down Nelly!

We wouldn't need to broadcast it
nor
start planning the annual
Pride Parades
but
perhaps some sort of organized way
to get to know one another.

It so easy to feel polarized
out here in the boondocks.

This idea did not come to us overnight.
It's been on our mind for quite some time,
and
the Arizona trip simply reinforced the idea.

Side note:  It has always amazed MJ and GGC that most local Gay folks seem to all know us , , , but we don't know hardly any of them.  When we ask them how they know us, it's usually the same answer = "You blazed the way for us"  or "Our parents used to talk about you two...."  (this could be pro OR con BTW).  Interesting that we never thought of ourselves as "trail blazers" in any way, shape, form or manner.  We were simply in love with one another.

At any rate
this idea of
"Getting To Know You"
[ always a song from a musical! ]
is not leaving our mind.

We will, as always,
keep you abreast.

Hmmmmmmm

What thinkest thou?

Are we
onto something
OR
simply dreaming what could be a nightmare?

NOVEMBER is DISAPPEARING

Good  NOVEMBER  morning
folks

*

*

*

And as one of our FAV months is about to pass away,
we
bring out the
mourning veil
as begin the long wait
for next
Autumn.

Yes,
December
has its attributes
[ which seem to have been squashed in commercialism ]
but
Autumn,
our lovely, beautiful and unequaled
Autumn,
every year we grieve your passing.

*

*

*

We were
with a
SPECTACULAR
Thanksgiving.

Late morning / early afternoon
found us at our sister Marlene's and Brother-In-Law Ronnie's
house
where six out of seven children
made it home
to celebrate not only
Thanksgiving
but
Ron and Marlene's
55th
Wedding Anniversary.

What. A. Hoot.

Reminded us of when all
seven
kids were still at home
"back in the day".

T'was difficult saying
"Farewell until next time"
when we left
but
ever so worth those tears
just to be,
once again,
T O G E T H E R.

*

*

*

The rest of
Thanksgiving Day/ early eve
we spent in Scio
with
Connie, Sarah, Jaxson
Andrew and Christopher.
GREAT TIME
and
DELICIOUS MEAL
!       !       !

*

*

*

FRIDAY
[ the day after Thanksgiving ]
we were off to
Kate Feldbauer Handy and John's
home
in Ithaca, NY
with
Jimmy and Steph
in attendance also.
[ As well as Riley and Romo! ]

Having a difficult time not crying here,
not from anything untoward,
but it wasn't all that long ago that
this gathering
would not have taken place.
Never want to take that fact for granted.

We had a
SUPER GREAT
TIME
at
sister Kate's also,
AND
the food was
wonderful!
[ Just sayin' ]

We may post more later.

Good NOVEMBER Morning
Friends

*

*

*

There are days in one's life
when you'd like to
FREEZE THE MOMENT.
Today is one of those days.

It's
Thanksgiving Eve Day.
MJ is home this week.
Jaxson is here with us.

Being surrounded by such an
abundance of
LOVE
is
nearly over-whelming.

I deserve it not
yet
God
provides it anyway.

*

*

*

For many of you
TODAY
[ and tomorrow ]
are a precursor
to the
great season of
CHRISTMAS

If you know GGC at all,
this is not the case for us.

From
September through Thanksgiving
is our
favorite
time of the year.

Once we are finished with the
Thanksgiving Celebrations,
things
begin
to go
downhill for us.

Not drastically mind you,
but it does begin a

d
o
w
n
w
a
r
d

spiral.

CHRISTMAS
has become such a
secular
holiday
instead of a
Spiritual
Holy Day
that
[ save for seeing it through the eyes of children ]
it seems to have lost much of it's meaning.

Sorry.
Didn't mean to
"bring you down"
that's just a personal viewpoint.

That's why
today
is such a
HIGHLIGHT
for
GGC.

And now you know

*

*

*

ONE
of the things
GGC
is
MOST THANKFUL
for this year
is
getting to know
THE FELDBAUER FAMILY
more and more.

Most of you know the "background" of this development,
so we'll skip all the details.

Getting to actually
know
little sister Kate
and
little bro Jimmy
is an ongoing delight.

If you know Kate and Jimmy
then you know that
"getting to know you"
is a wee bit easier
with Kate than with Jimmy.

Jimmy can be quite reserved
[ much like GGC ]
( oh stop laughing )
whereas
sister Kate,
well, not quite so much!

Lord willin' and the creek don't rise,
we will be spending
Friday celebrating Thanksgiving
at
Kate and John's
[ and Grace's ! ]
with
Jimmy and Steph.

GGC
also got to meet and greet
some of the
extended fam
at this year's
Feldbauer Family Reunion.

Although one was as nervous as
a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs,
it was truly a
DEEEEEEE-LIGHTFUL
day
in every respect.

And of course there was the
"Trip to Bountiful"
when we went to
ARIZONA
in
October
for
Casey and Brandon's
wedding.

! WoW !

What a great time we had.

Brandon is perfect for Casey
[ therefore we allowed them to marry! ]
and
Mark and Lorie's
"kids"
are truly
phenomenal is every way.

One must confess that being around
so many
Feldbauer's
[ some even in their own natural habitat ]
was like an
anthropological
study
for
GGC.

Truly,
just observing them was
sooooooo
interesting.

GGC
loves the
family dynamic
within all groups,
so getting to view
this particular family
was
very
enlightening
indeed.
[ One won't get in trouble for this, will one ? ]

At any rate,
this sure has been the year of
The Feldbauer's
and
we continue to enjoy it immensely.

As
sister Kate puts it:

That's all for now folks!

GOOD November MORNING
Folks

And
boy did it get
COLD
over this past weekend.

Yeah, yeah, yeah,
we know it's November in Western NY
but
g-eeeeeee-sh

One would imagine that the hunters love it,
as it might make tracking the deer is a wee bit easier
with the
snow covered ground.

You should
HEAR
the wind blowing out there.
Yikes!

*

*

*

Lovely weekend here at

Managed to get quite a bit accomplished on Saturday
and
Sunday at St. John's
was
UPLIFTING
as is almost always the case.

As we may have mentioned
MJ
is off this week from work
so that always makes things a wee bit easier.
[ Stress level decreases ]

*

*

*

And
THIS
is
THANKSGIVING
week.

How are we doing on this topic?
[ Counting your Blessings  ]

It's
overwhelming
even trying to
contemplate
all our
blessings,
at least here at
4998 Noble Street.

God is good all the time,
all the time God is good.

*

*

*

And

begins next
Sunday, November 27th

GGC
L--O--V--E--S
ADVENT

In fact this entire week
is
nigh onto
orgasmically
perfect
!       !       !

Everything leads up to
THANKSGIVING
[ attempting to count all our blessings ]
followed by
WEEK 1
0f
ADVENT

Dear Lord in Heaven,
the
Liturgical Excitement
is
palpable
around here
!       !       !

And here's your
What blessings are
YOU
thankful for
that people might not realize
you are thankful for?

In other words,
please
DON'T
put down the
USUAL
blessings
[ God, Jesus, Spouse, Family, Good Health, Home, etc.]
We all know or expect those.

Write something that
we might
NOT
EXPECT
you
to list as a blessing.

GGC will start:

I am thankful:

Our toilet flushes as it should.

I was raised with a strong
fundamentalist Baptist foundation.

For nearly every teardrop
that watered the garden
of
my ever growing
soul of faith.

There,
now
YOU
please.

One answer id good,
two is better
three or more are
TREMENDOUS.

Only
the
blessing we might not expect to
come out of you.

Today's
K A S I Y H
Blog post is being solely written by
CRAIG

It was pure hell around here right after the election.  Good God you'd a thunk the world had ended or something.  Wednesday, November 9th all G and G did was poop and puke.  Seriously, they were as sick as a dog.  And if THEY were doing that, ya know I had to do it too.  Geeeeeesh.  Get OVER yourselves already!
Ye ol' Craig didn't care for the results either, but what the hell, the entertainment factor alone has to count for somethin'.  Guess it would have helped had they seen it comin', but nope, they believed all the pollsters.  Someone had to win , , , in this case it was Trump.
I understand their concern but the guy hasn't even taken office yet, calm the hell down.  Yeah, at this point he seems to be appointing some questionable people [mostly white men, racists, etc.] but if Dems can "evolve" perhaps the Repub's can too, right?  Besides, other than bein' vigilant, what the hell can we do about it right now?  Calm down, take a chill pill [or whatever brings your BP down] and let's see what happens.  Do we or do we not have "checks and balances" within our government  "Justin Case" somethin' goes haywire ?   So that's how ye ol' Craig sees it = CHILL peeps.

Good NOVEMBER Morning
Friends

" ! Just Can't Smile Without You ! "

*

*

*

THANKS
for all who read
and
especially those who commented on Thursday's
K A S I Y H
Blog post

*

*

*

Since there's much to accomplish today
here at
THE PALACE

we'll make this a
day

*

*

*

JAXSON
[ that child whom I adore ]
spent yesterday here with
Poppa G

As per usual I learned far more than I could ever teach.

Good Lord
the energy that child has at 4 and half years seasoned
is
amazing.

*

*

*

One probably shouldn't be,
but
was
SHOCKED
to hear from someone last evening
about her workplace environment
including an individual
that would be
very happy
if all
LBGTQ
folks
were placed on an island
sans
food or water.

To actually work with and along side
someone
who
tolerates
you
solely because they are forced to do so
[ or get fired ]
but
said individual
is
looking
searching
seeking
for
any way
possible
to throw you
"under the bus"
simply and totally
due to your
sexual orientation
is
mind boggling.

I know, I know,
we should be well used to such behavior by now,
but it is
STILL
shocking to me.
Apparently there are some folks
who hold
HATRED
close and dear to their
hearts.

*

*

*

Since it's
NOVEMBER
and
GGC's
heart
always seems to reflect upon
those memories embedded in the heart:

*

*

*

And the
LOML
"The semi-early years"
when he'd stop over after a
basketball game
at
BCS

Adored him then,
adore him still,
adore him forever,
I always will.
*

*

*

Those two pics above could lead me into a chapter
[ or a few chapters ]
in
the book
BUT
rather than to get going on all that
one has much to accomplish
lest
the
LOML
" fire me "
when he arrives home from work
for
" insubordination "
[ as Poppa Bear at BCS used to say ]

 *

*

PERHAPS
I'll return later.

Have a
Fantastic Friday Friends!
