! HAPPY ___ DAYS AFTER CHRISTMAS FRIENDS !
[Began this on 12/26 . . . who knows when it will actually get posted.]

Every few years
[ and thank GOD it's only every few years ]
the
4th Sunday of Advent falls on December 24th.
[ I've mentioned this before ]

What that means for liturgical churches is
we celebrate the
4th Sunday of Advent
SUNDAY MORNING
then
we celebrate
[ just a few hours later ]
Christmas Eve
SUNDAY EVENING
[ the "biggie" ]
t--h--e--n
we celebrate
the actual
Birthday of our Lord
MONDAY MORNING

When one is
Director of Music
at a liturgical church
there
is
a
great
deal
of
preparation
and
proper
execution
thereof.

The Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester
Bishop Prince Singh
was at
ST. JOHN'S
Christmas Eve
to celebrate mass with us.
[And thank God he was, as our priest, Carol Stewart was ill that night
and not present for mass]

WHAT A SPECIAL TREAT IT WAS TO HAVE
BISHOP SINGH
WITH US.

Especially since
Michael J. Feldbauer
and
Gregory K. Shelley
became
official members of
The Episcopal Church
that evening,
brought into the church by the Bishop himself.

CHRISTMAS DAY
after 11:00am mass
we picked up Dad at Manor Hills
and
he spent the day with us here at the palace.

What a BLAST we had!

Really.
Not kidding.

It was
"just us 3 guys"
[ as well as Paulie the pooch ]
and
the stories we heard and told.
WoW

MJ prepared a lovely ham dinner,
with three different kinds of pies.

Dad was here 12:30pm - 7:30pm.
When he went to leave I thanked him for a great day
and his reply was:
"Thank you guys!  I'm in 7th Heaven!"

Totally wonder-filled
Christmas Day

The next day
[ Boxing Day ? ]
we had
JAXSON
here to spend the day.
o
m
Goodness
what a
GREAT DAY
we had with him.

Jax and Uncle Mike
were
VERY
active
all
day
long.

In fact when MJ got into bed Tuesday night he said to me:

" I feel like I did
after the first day of basketball practice at BCS."

LONG PAUSE

then
" But today was so much FUN! "

Wednesday 12/27 was rather unique:
Forgot to take my morning meds
and
by the afternoon had some health troubles
until
I realized what had happened.
[ or rather  hadn't  happened ]

Finally took meds at 3:15pm.
Don't care to go through  that  again.

Thursday I was back at it again,
reading scripture for this coming Sunday's
Lessons and Carols
at
St. John's Episcopal Church,
choosing appropriate music,
getting music choices to
Vanessa
[ our church secretary ]
and
having a phone chat with Carol
[ Rev. Carol Stewart - Priest-in-Charge at St. John's ].

Late yesterday afternoon and evening
MJ and I
looked over and listened to possible new choral music for
St. John's Choir.

Good day overall.
